20" Prototype Construction

Internal structure within the bottom of the fork.   Doing some touch-up work on the fork.   Base being lowered into place.   Tube assembly components spot welded; ready for final full welds on every seam.   The telescope base is extraordinarily robust . . .   Fork being lowered and installed on RA shaft.   Base and fork painted in place on pier.   Michael Marcus with nearly assembled 20" prototype instrument.   Unpainted, assembled base and fork.   Tube center box and drive plates installed.   Fully assembled 20" prototype ObservatoryScope, ready for routine operation.
